Bo Li is a professor at ITBR, Fudan University. He obtained his B.S. degree of applied physics in 2009 at Shandong University. After that, he obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degree of telecommunications in 2011 and 2015, respectively. During 2012 to 2014, he visited INRS-EMT in Canada to research ultrafast optical signal processing. During 2015 to 2020, he worked at Cornell University in US to research ultrafast laser and multi-photon imaging technologies. In 2020, Bo moved to Fudan University as a group leader.

Bo’s research focused on the development of three-photon, two-photon and light-sheet microscopy, and the applications of them in brain structural and functional research. Due to his contribution to ultrafast laser and multi-photon imaging technologies, Bo got the 2020 Bernard J. Couillaud Prize, awarded by Optical Society of America and Coherent Inc. Bo has 28 publications in scientific journals, such as Nature Methods. He was invited to give conferences talks for more than 10 times and give online courses for 2 times. He is the guest editor of two journals, Frontiers in Neuroscience and Photonics.

Dr. Juan Deng obtained her Ph.D. degree in neuroscience at the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018, under the guidance of Professor Yangang Sun. She went on to complete her postdoctoral training in the same laboratory, with support from the Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program. Dr. Deng joined the Institute for Translational Brain Research (ITBR) at Fudan University as a Junior Principal Investigator in January of 2021. Her lab, whose focuses is on identifying the neural circuit and cellular mechanisms underlying/implicated in the development of chronic pain, is supported by several fundings:

National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (2023)

National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program) (2022)

Science and Technology Innovation 2030 -- a major project of "Brain Science and brain-like Research" (2022)

Lingang Laboratory “Outstanding Youth Program” (2022)

Shanghai Rising-Star Program (2021)
