Amygdalar PKC-δ neurons sense leucine deprivation and promote WAT browning
Abstract
The hypothalamic neurons of the central nervous system, such as POMC neurons and AgRP neurons, can regulate the Browning of white fat, but the role of other brain regions in this process has been rarely reported. It has been found that leucine deficiency can induce white adipose tissue (WAT) browning in the body. This process activates neuronal activity through GCN2/ATF4 signal of PKC-δ neurons in the central amygdala, and then activates sympathetic nerve to promote WAT browning. This study is of great significance for the in-depth understanding of the interaction between nutrition, central nervous system and lipid metabolism, and provides more theoretical basis and exploration direction for the research and application of WAT browning.
