Specific small molecule inhibitors of BET proteins family can promote iPSC production
In this study, we found that JQ1, CPI203 and I-BET151, inhibitors of BET proteins family, significantly improved the production efficiency of iPSCs. JQ1, one of these molecules, remarkably inhibits the expression of fibroblast-specific genes. This type of small molecules can be widely used in stem cells preparation based on chemical small molecule drugs and direct somatic cell transdifferentiation and, thus, promote the application of stem cells in regenerative medicine filed.
