Zhixin Qiu

Principal Investigator

Dr. Zhixin Qiu is a Principal Investigator at the Institute for Translational Brain Research, Fudan University. Zhixin Qiu earned his bachelor's degree from Shandong University in 2010, and received PhD degree from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (SIBCB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in 2017. He finished his postdoctoral training in Dr. Jeremy Rich's laboratory in University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Zhixin Qiu joined the ITBR, Fudan on November, 2021. His research is focused on the cancer area, which has been published in high-profile journals, including Cell (2021), Cancer Cell (2019) and Cancer Discovery (2022), Nature Cancer (2024), and Med (2025).

Zhixin Qiu’s laboratory is systematically studying the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic opportunaties during tumorigenesis and drug resistance, through integrating a series of wet-dry-lab techniques, including bioinformatics, single cell sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9 screening and tumor organoid culture.
